Tune-ups
1- Arrival/Evaluation: At this time an experienced technician performs an evaluation of the equipment . Options are then presented to the customer with specific attention to any major damage or problems.
2 - Major Repair Work: Any major base damage, delaminating and bends are repaired.
3 - Side Edge Rough Grinding: Initial resurfacing of the side edge is performed. This removes any burred areas and creates a sharp edge at the manufacturer's recommended angle or to an angle chosen by the customer.
4 - Disc Finish: The side edges are finished and polished as smooth as possible.
5 - Finish Grinding: The final texture is imprinted into the base.
6 - Tip & Tail Detuning: The sharpness is removed to blend into the running surface of the edge. This blending can be altered at home or on the hill with the minimum amount of effort.
7 - Polish Grinding: The base edge is polished to a smooth finish.
8 - Waxing: The board is waxed with a universal wax and is texture brushed for the best running ski surface. |
